Former One Direction star Zayn Malik has backed British Asian Trust's campaign Give a Girl a Future, which aims to raise funds to support girls in South Asia, giving them opportunities to secure a sustainable livelihood.

Sanjeev Bhaskar, Meera Syal, Anita Rani, Nitin Ganatra, Preeya Kalidas, Gurinder Chadha and Naughty Boy are also supporting the campaign and have starred in a promotional video, and all proceeds raised before December 7 will see every £1 donated matched by the UK government.
